What is a black lion?
The most rare breed of lion.
Legend has it that there was once a lion that lacked an equal commitment to all cubs in its den.
One day, the cubs need nourishment. But, the alpha had an ego that prevented it from seeing the potential in feeding the cubs.
As one particular cub went without nourishment, its coat of fur began to turn black. It didn't take long for the cub to feel more like a black sheep, than the lion it was.
Eventually, the cub had to leave the pride to go and search for its own nourishment. The cub ventured towards the jungle finding some nourishment along the way. The cub hadn't noticed but along this journey it had matured into an adult lion.
The ground shook, as the now well nourished lion, let out a ferocious roar.
Other lions, lionesses, and cubs heard the roar and came in search of the sound. When they arrived, they were startled to find it was a cub they once new. The cub, now a lion, invited all into his den to feast as there was sustenance for all.
One night, while out hunting, the lion came across a troop of gorillas. The lion roared. The gorillas beat their chest. As they sized each other up, the silverback asked the lion if it was an alpha. It was at this time the rest of the lions came out of the shadows. The lion then replied "we are all alphas." The silverback, having never seen such a pride before, invited the lions to feast with them as he could see the potential in this new breed; Black Lions.
