Chad Pomeroy is an in-depth practitioner to the inherited legacy & knowledge of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with first degree affiliation under the leadership of Kroyler Gracie Jiu-Jistu, Grandson to Heilo Gracie.
Chad is a retired Army Iraq War veteran who started training Jiu Jitsu in 2006. He is one of only 6 certified Black Belt's under Kroyler Gracie. His on going effort to put his students first and push them to be and do better at every training session. Chad puts everyone before himself which is just one of the attributes that makes him a great leader and instructor.

Bryce comes to us with 10 years of wrestling experience, and is the eldest of 9 siblings. Bryce started training with black lion in 2018, and has competed in nogi, gi, and absolute divisions. Bryce has a fun charismatic attitude that the kids love. He is very patient and wants all of the student to find their passion for Black Lion Jiu Jitsu. " When you love what you do you never work a day in your life."

Justin Andrews is a 11 year Marine Corp Iraq Warveteran, who has been training in Jiu Jitsu since 2006. As a Black belt Justin has competed in many GI and NOGI tournaments across the east coast. Justin has a positive attitude and drive to motivate all of the members of the Academy makes him a valuable asset to the gym and the team.

Ben started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2012 under Chad Pomeroy. He has competed in multiple Gi and NoGi tournaments throughout the United States. His patience and dedication to the kids class is fueled by the desire to help children have confidence and respect for others. Ben's dedication to Black Lion and Jiu Jitsu is unmatched. As long as you leave your ego at the door he is happy to share the mat with everyone.

Kroyler Gracie is the Grandson of the late Helio Gracie. Kroyler has been learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since he was a young child as it is tradition in his family. Thirst for knowledge has led Kroyler to travel all accross the U.S to train with some of the most knowledgeable Brazilian Jiu Jitsu minds out there, such as GrandMaster Marcio "Macarrao" Stambowsky, Luiz Filho, Ryron Gracie, Nino Schembri and many others. Exposure to their aforementioned masters has influenced his dynamic style.
